OPI 2014 Coca-Cola Collection

Today I have for you the nine piece Coca-Cola Collection from OPI. These have been out for several months now but I just now had the chance to purchase them and wanted to share them with you. These polishes were perfection. The formulas were great and dry time was even pretty fantastic. I love this collection so much because of the range of "not-so-common" colors, and they did a great job at matching colors to the products they represent. On to the swatches....

You're So Vain-illa
Two coats (but should have used three)
Represents Vanilla Coke

Sorry I'm Fizzy Today
Two coats

Orange You Fantastic
Two coats, no undies

Today I Accomplished Zero
Three coats

My favorites of this collection are A Grape Affair, Green On The Runway and Today I Accomplished Zero. I love these three the most because of their uniqueness. I also was very impressed with You're So Vain-illa. You could probably get away with two coats but I have very white tips so Its usually three coats of anything for me. I hope these help you in your decision on whether or not to buy them. Im very happy I decided to get the whole collection, I think you will be too.

Thanks for reading and Happy Polishing!

Sephora X Polishes

A couple of weeks ago I went to a BIg Lots store that I hadn't been to in a while to check out their polishes. I was kinda disappointed in the amount they had until I saw these little gems. Not to be confused with the Sephora Formula X polishes, but I think these are fantastic! The formula was perfect, dry time was normal, and these pics all show two coats.
Privileged

Deranged

Cold Hearted

Ice Princess

Psycho

I love the names on these, so funny! I normally don't find anything at my Big Lots but this time I lucked out. Not sure if these can be found anywhere else, I'm sure they are all older polishes but, I love them all!

Thanks for reading and Happy Polishing!

Wet N Wild 2014 Fall Mattes Collection Polishes

I finally got my hands on the 2014 Fall Matte polishes from Wet N Wild! These babies have been soo hard to collect! I found the display in a Walgreens 45 minutes from my house but it only had three of the colors left on it, so the search was on. I bought two more of the colors from Heather (@heathernking) on Instagram, who actually helped me complete another collection of Wet n Wild Megalasts. Thanks girl! Then I was down to one, the purple. Everyone I knew was on the lookout for me. Then my sister, Addrienne, sent me a text saying she found it. I literally squealed! They were finally all mine! Let me take just a minute to say that Wet N Wild Megalast polishes are my favorite out of all 600 I own. The formulas are consistently perfect, they have the wide brushes which work great on my nails and they only cost $1.99!Okay, enough said. On to the polishes.....

 Rouge 66
Two coats, no topcoat

 Distressed To Impress
Two coats, no topcoat

 Careful, It's Vine-tage
Two coats, no topcoat

 LAC-My Mani?
Three coats, no topcoat

 So Berry On Trend
Two coats, no topcoat

Echo Dark
Two coats, no topcoat

I don't think I need to say it but.....I am so in love with these polishes. Aside from the cream one, all these were easily opaque with two coats. Drying time was great. Although not really true matte finishes, they are more of a satin finish. This didn't really bother me as they more than make up for it in beauty. If you are lucky enough to find this collection, or any of it at all, you won't regret buying it. I also want to add, I wore these for at least a day each and had no staining at all when I removed them.

Thank you so much for reading this all the way through! Be sure to sign up to get email notifications for new posts. I am really going to try to do at least two posts a week.

OPI Push and Shove

I finally got the chance to try OPI Push and Shove. I found it a few days ago at Sally Beauty Supply on clearance for $4.50.
This is a gorgeous polish! It requires that you use one coat of the included base coat, Lay Down That Base, then two thin coats of Push and Shove. At first it looks like a regular silver metallic polish but once dry its a very mirror like finish. The directions say not to use a top coat so of course I had to try it. :)
It really dulled the shine. Oh well, had to try. The box also states that this polish is only intended for one night's use. I haven't done a wear test yet so Im not sure about that but Day 8 of the 31dc2014 is metallics so Ill have to try it. Ill let ya know!

Revlon Parfumerie Moonlit Woods

Last nights mani is Revlon Parfumerie in Moonlit Woods. I was really surprised with this one. I expected it to be really sheer, which it was on the first coat, but built up nice with the second coat. The scent was fantastic also! With the name, I was kinda expecting a woodsy smell...pine needles maybe, eww...but, it was a musky, perfumey smell. I loved it! It wasn't too "in-your-face" like some can be. This is two coats, no topcoat.

Revlon Parfumerie Wintermint

Tonights swatch is Revlon Parfumerie in Wintermint. This is a gorgeous light green scented polish. I wasn't too sure about this one with the first coat but it turned out to be very buildable. This is three coats with no topcoat. Adding a topcoat does not affect the smell. Its a strong minty scent, which I love. The only thing that I don't like about this polish, it looks lumpy. Not like a texture polish,  just not quite right. Maybe its just my slight OCD, just wanted to let yall know :) I have two of these polishes (thanks sissy) the other of which Ill be swatching for you tomorrow. Be sure to follow me on google+ and/or sign up for email notices so you dont miss it! Thanks for reading!

Essie Summer Neons

Today I'll be sharing the 2014 Essie Summer Neons Collection. There are six colors in this collection.

Now, here's my first opinion on this collection. They are not neons. The colors are certainly gorgeous, but not neon. These were also my first Essie polishes and I was not impressed. I got a good price on these but there's no way I would pay the regular $8.50 a bottle for them. On to the swatches...

The first two colors we have are Chills & Thrills (dark purple) and Vices Versa (green). Index finger is Chills & Thrills, two coats over white base and middle finger is two coats alone. This one didn't really need a white base under it. Both nails turned out exactly the same. The ring finger is Vices Versa, two coats over white and pinkie is two coats alone.

These next two are Too Taboo (pink) and I'm Addicted (blue). These are my favorite two out of the collection. Index finger is Too Taboo, two coats over white and middle finger is two coats alone. Ring finger is I'm Addicted, two coats over white and pinkie is two coats alone.

Last two colors are Sittin' Pretty and Serial Shopper. Index finger is Sittin' Pretty, two coats over white and middle finger is two coats alone. Ring finger is Serial Shopper, two coats over white and pinkie is two coats alone.

My final thoughts on these.....meh...

Like I mentioned, I was not impressed. Being my first time trying Essie, I probably won't buy anymore. The formulas didn't build very well and, with exception of the dark purple, you have to use a white base to get the true color. I hate having to do that. They did level out ok after applying a topcoat and are pretty colors but nothing really unique.

Wet N Wild Textures

Okay, I know this collection is from last year, a limited edition collection in fact, but I just recently picked one up and dusted it off and fell in love all over again. It's what's on my nails as I type this up. Wet N Wild has always been my favorite brand of polish so I was thrilled when my sister told me she had spotted these in stores. She even helped me to complete the set, thank you sissy!

I used two coats in all of these pics but you could definitely get away with just one coat with the blue and green.
Femme Trouper

ATTEN Hut!

Tough Girl

Fatigue Glam

Beauty Is A Battlefield!

Left, Left, Left, Right, Left

(Just wanted to add that, unlike other texture polishes, these polishes are super easy to remove.)
All polishes in this post were purchased by me for my own use. I am not being compensated by any person and/or company for this post.

OPI Sheer Tints

Today I'll be sharing with you the OPI Sheer Tints polishes. I know these have been out for a while but I haven't seen many swatches or reviews of these.
These are the four polishes in this set. They are meant to be used mostly in nail art but I'll be showing you what they look like on their own. In all of these pics, the polish was applied as follows.....

Index-one coat
Middle-two coats
Ring-three coats
Pinkie-two coats over white

First up we have I'm Never Amberassed. This is a gorgeous color but, in my opinion, it just looks like bad staining over the natural nail.

Next on the list, I Can Teal You Like Me. Its a beautiful light blue color but streaky even after three coats. Again, alot prettier over white.

Here we have Don't Violet Me Down. This one is my second favorite of the set. The tint is subtle but beautiful over the natural nail and white, just depends on the look you are going for.

I saved the best for last. This beauty is Be Magentale With Me. I love this one! I think even just one coat is very pretty on the natural nail. the white undies just dolls it up more.

Just for fun, I'm adding a couple of manis I've done with these. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Just to let you know, When I bought these polishes I thought something was wrong with them because they were thick and a little stringy, kinda like "hot glue" stringy, especially the blue and purple. Turns out that this is normal for these polishes. I tried adding thinner to make them easier to apply but it didn't help. They are still worth it though. Very pretty spring and summer colors.

The polishes in this post were purchased by me for my personal use. I am in no way being compensated by this company for this post.

Glitter Lambs Gorgeous Glitter Toppers

I recently received some gorgeous glitter topper polishes from the lovely Jamie over at Glitter Lamb Polishes. These babies are GAWGEOUS!!

I will be showing you, left to right: Unicorns Love Cotton Candy, Sweet Dreams and Beach Ball. These babies are jampacked with glittery goodness.

First up we have Unicorns Love Cotton Candy, my personal favorite :) This beauty has small white dots, rainbow colored holograhic glitters, pastel colored hex glitters in different sizes and pink dots the color of cotton candy (of course)

This is two coats on accent nail and nail tips over a dark fuschia polish. I did not have to fish around in the bottle for glitter but did some moving around of the big circles to get them scattered where I wanted them. The formula was a dream to work with and dried fast.

Next up, we have Sweet Dreams. Such a bright , blinged out glitter but still classy. Bright but not "in your face". This one has circle glitters in white, silver, black and pink floating in tiny silver glitters.

I applied two coats over black on accent nail. I did have to hunt a little for the circle glitters but after shaking it up good, duh!, they came out just fine. Again, great formula and dried fast.

Last, but certainly not least, is Beach Ball. I don't even know where to start! So much fun in one little bottle. This is such a fun glitter for summer. It can be used over/with every color in the rainbow. It contains red, yellow and blue hex glitters with tiny white hexes. Smooth, fast drying formula.
I used this one over a couple different colors so you could get an idea of the versatility of it. This is two coats on the middle fingers with no fishing or placement whatsoever. Perfection.

I highly recommend adding these beautiful and playful toppers to your nail polish arsenal. You can find these and all of Jamie's other creations at:

Her Blog

These polishes were provided to me for swatches and my honest review. My opinion is in no way influenced by how I received them.
